John D. Ruiz, age 79, of Steger, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 17, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Joan Ruiz, nee Lux. Loving father of Amanda (James) Blackman, Adam Ruiz, Jordan (Patti) Ruiz, Carla (Hanny) Kiroloss, and the late John Ruiz Jr. Cherished grandfather of Delilah and Amelia Blackman. Krystal, Jacob, and Nicolas Ruiz. Dear brother of Oralia Ruiz, Amadita (Albert) Martinez, the late Guadalupe Garcia, and the late Alexander (Rosalie) Ruiz. Kind uncle of many nieces and nephews. John will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 22, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. until time of Funeral Service at 7:00 p.m. at Smits-Steger Memorial Chapel, 3045 Chicago Rd., Steger, Illinois 60475.
