John Schaap, age 89, of Lansing, IL passed away peacefully on Friday, March 23, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Betty W. Schaap, nee Recker. Loving father of Wayne (Laurel) Schaap, Janice (Fred) Hoekstra, Pamela (Lewis) Haan, and Brian Schaap. Devoted grandfather of Aron (Sarah) Hoekstra, Ryan (Karen) Hoekstra, Michelle (Titus Presler) Schaap, Kara (Brandon) Taylor, Timothy (Katherine) Schaap, Brandon (Sarah) Haan, Shannon (fiancé Stephen Bowie) Haan and Morgan Schaap; great-grandfather of ten. Dear brother of the late Henry (late Johanna) Schaap, late Adriana (late Bert) Voss, late Jacoba (late Andrew) Lenting, late Jacob (late Marie) Schaap, late Garrit (late Ida) Schaap, late Art (late Janet) Schaap, late Lena (late Julius) Jacobs, late Cornelia (Stanley) Zwier, late Johanna Schaap, and the late Bertha (late Kenneth) Anema.
