Loving father of Stacy (Jim) Polmen, Melissa (Brad) Elkins, and Edward Upchurch. Proud grandfather of Jacob, Lucas, Heather, Amber and Summer. Dear brother of Martha, late Margaret, Jerry, Stuart (Bev) and Scott. Devoted uncle to many nieces and nephews. Visitation, Saturday, March 9, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. at the Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt. 30 & Pleasant Springs Lane) Dyer, IN 46311.
