John F. Van Schepen, age 98, of South Holland, went home to be with his Lord on Monday, October 16, 2017. Beloved husband of the late Henrietta Van Schepen, nee Zeilenga and the late Shirley Pals. Loving father of Joan (Mike) Anderson, Jim (Deb) Van Schepen, Deb (late Don) Patterson, Lynette (Karl) Lammers, Randall (Kris) Van Schepen and Michael (Lydia) Van Schepen. Cherished grandfather of 16; great-grandfather of 16. Dear brother of Lee (late John) DeVries. Preceded in death by his siblings Alfred, Ethyl, Paul, Dorothy, George and Eileen. Visitation Friday, October 20, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Peace Christian Reformed Church, 833 E. 168th St. South Holland, IL with services conducted by Dr. Joel Nederhood.
