Johnny D. Topping

Johnny D. Topping “Bob”, age 63, of Dyer, IN, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2023.  Beloved husband of Nada Zivanovich.  Loving father of Natalie Zivanovich, Melanie Zivanovich, and Michael Zivanovich.  Cherished grandfather of Isaiah.  Dear brother of Darla (Jeff) Szromba and the late Gary Lucas. Uncle of Nicole, Rachel, the late Gary Lucas Jr., and several other nieces and nephews.  Dear son of Mary and the late John Topping.

Johnny loved his family very much. His wife, children, and grandson were his pride and joy. Johnny always wanted to be a grandpa, the day his grandson Isaiah was born was the best day of his life. Johnny enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Johnny was very kind to others, he never hesitated to help others when in need. In his free time he enjoyed fixing cars. Johnny had a huge love for music of all genres. The last month before his passing he was always wearing his headphones jammin’ out. Johnny loved music so much he was very persistent on learning how to play the guitar. He wanted a guitar for Christmas and couldn’t wait to get his hands on it to begin playing. Please keep his family in your prayers. Johnny will be missed very much by his loved ones.

Visitation Friday, December 8, 2023 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Ln., Dyer, IN.  Funeral service Saturday, December 9, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.  Interment Concordia Cemetery – Hammond, IN.
