Joseph E. Stewart Jr., age 82 of Crete, IL, passed away April 6, 2011. Beloved step-father of John (Connie) Renzi. Cherished grandfather of eight step-grandchildren and three great step-grandchildren. Dear brother of Merry (Robert) Fourhman, Ronald (Donna) Stewart and the late Phyllis Doxstader. Dear uncle of many nieces and nephews. Loving son of the late Joseph and late Clara Stewart. Visitation Sunday April 10th from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Steger Memorial Chapel (3045 Chicago Rd. Steger, IL.). Graveside service Monday April 11th, 10:15 a.m. at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery " Elwood, IL. Joseph was a WWII and Korean War Army Veteran. He was a member of the Chicago Heights VFW Post 2825, American Legion Post 131, Life member of Crete Amvets, former volunteer fireman for Crete, and past member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and the Crete United Methodist Church.
