Joyce A. Nelson

Joyce A. Nelson, nee Devine, age 81, of Thornton, IL, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2020. Beloved wife of Harry N. Nelson. Loving mother of Candy (fiancé Brian Cozen) Mitseff, Jill (John) Detmar, Dean (Vanessa) Doty, and Neal (fiancé Sharon Starzak) Nelson. Cherished grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her siblings Jean (Bill) Lergner and Donald (Shirley) Devine; and her parents Harold and Evelyne Devine. Joyce was a bus driver for many years for Van Der AA Bus Lines and Hammond Transit.  She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
