Juanita C. Rivera, age 85, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 29, 2024. Beloved wife of David Rivera, Loving mother of David (Anna) Jr., Daniel (Carla), Hector (Eva) Rivera, Carol (Glenn) Stive, Linda (Anthony) Rivera-Krabbe. Cherished grandmother of David (Stacey) Jr. III, Jaymon Simon (Angela), Daniel (Andrea) Rivera Jr., Jennifer (Luis) Muñoz, Alexander Soteris, Andrea Stive, Lauren (Tony) Rossi, Bianca, Matthew Rivera, Anthony (Kelcie) Jr., Nathan, Alexis, Christopher, Isaac, and Nicholas Krabbe. Great-grandmother of Sarah, Luanne, Jonah, Jacob, Joshua, Eli, Isaac, and Noah Rivera. Dear sister of Rojelio (Rosario) Cantu, and Alvina (late Otilio) Puente, Juanita was preceded in death by her parents Francisco and Juanita Cantu and late siblings Moises (late Emilia), Julian (late Lupe), Francisco Cantu, and Tomasa Granados. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Juanita was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother who was loved dearly, and whose presence will be greatly missed by all.

Visitation to be held Thursday, November 7, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Smits – Steger Memorial Chapel, 3045 Chicago Rd. Steger, IL 60475. Funeral Service to be held on Friday, November 8, 2024 10:00 a.m. at Smits – Steger Memorial. Interment to follow at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery - Elwood, IL.
