Julie A. DeJong, age 51, of Dyer, IN  went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, March 4, 2020. Loving daughter of James and Shirley DeJong.  Dear sister of Kimberly (Bill) Kryger, James Jefferey (Lisa) DeJong, Amy (Martin) Van Beek, and Michael (Angela) DeJong.  Devoted aunt of 13 nephews and nieces and 7 great-nephews and nieces. Cherished niece to many uncles and aunts.   Visitation Friday, March 13, 2020 from 2:00 – 8:00 P.M. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane, Dyer, IN. Funeral service Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 10:00 A.M. at Peace Protestant  Reformed Church (14864 101 st Ave. Dyer, IN), with services conducted by Rev. Ryan Barnhill. Burial will be held at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Lansing, IL. Memorial contributions may be given to Hospice of the Calumet Area, Crown Point Christian School, Illiana Christian High School or the Protestant Reformed Christian School Association.
