June H. DeBoer, nee Buteyn, age 80, of St. John, IN, formerly of Oostburg, WI. Passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 19, 2016. Beloved wife of William J. DeBoer. Devoted mother of Susan (Rodney) Zwier and David (Beth) DeBoer. Loving grandmother of Danielle (Brian) Voss, Jeffrey (Cassie) Zwier, Rachel DeBoer, Sarah (Scott) Steenwyk, Megan Zwier, and Andrew DeBoer; great-grandmother of Leah, Hannah, and Emmalene Voss. Dear sister of Neal (Helen) Buteyn, Marcia (Don) Modahl, Jean (Larry) Kappers, and Nedra (Dennis) Kanz. Kind aunt of several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Cornelius and Emmeline Buteyn. Visitation Thursday, April 21, 2016 from 3:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30 & Pleasant Springs Ln.) Dyer, IN 46311. Memorial service Friday, April 22, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. at Community United Reformed Church (8405 Alexander St. Schererville, IN 46375) with Rev. James Oord officiating.
