Karen Louise Jonas, age 71, of Steger, Illinois, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2025. Beloved wife for 55 years of Carl Jonas. Loving mother of Cheryl (Joseph) Ashe, Kathy Jonas, Carin (Anthony) Tarka, Karl (Jennifer) Jonas, Clinton (Margaret) Jonas, Kristin Cotter and Colleen Jonas. Cherished grandmother of 14 grandchildren. Dear sister of Edward Thompson and the late James Thompson. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Edward and Betty Thompson. Karen will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation to be held Saturday, April 5, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. until time of Funeral Service at 6:00 p.m. at Smits – Steger Memorial Chapel, 3045 Chicago Rd. Steger, Illinois, 60475.
