Katherine Brown

Katherine Brown, age 85, of Midlothian, IL passed away, Monday, June 19, 2017. Katherine Brown (affectionally known as “Cat”) was born to Bertha Mae Ward on December 16, 1931 in Harpersville, Mississippi. She was the oldest of nine children. One sister and three brothers proceeded her in death; Maeola Hughes, John Hunt, Jimmie Hughes, and Willie Hughes. Her three children proceeded her in death: Mae Katherine Bobbitt, Mae Bell Lampkin, and Dale Lee Bobbitt. She married Chris Brown who also proceeded her. She was a long time employee at Montgomery Ward. She was a member of Bethleham Healing Temple in Chicago, IL. She leaves to cherish her memory: Two sisters, Callie Brewer of Kankakee, IL, and Carrie Hughes of Midlothian, IL. Two brothers, Jessie Hawkins of Chicago, IL and Charles Hughes of Kankakee, IL. Three grandchildren; Dale Bobbitt, Jimmie Bobbitt, and Donna Jones, and nine great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
