Kenneth Amptmeyer Sr., age 82, late of Lansing, IL, passed away peacefully Thursday, September 1, 2016. Beloved husband of 56 years, of Carol J. Amptmeyer, nee Steinberg. Devoted father of Susan (James) Fortener, Sandy (Doug) Satterfield, Kirk (Gary Allen) Amptmeyer, and Kenny (Christine) Amptmeyer Jr. Cherished grandfather of Megan, Hayley, and Tyler; great-grandfather of Trey. Dear brother of the late Henry (late Anne), late Tressa (late Jake) Scheeringa, late Peter (late Helen) Amptmeyer, late Jay (late Lois) Amptmeyer and the late Gerben Amptmeyer Jr. Kind uncle of numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Gerrit and Clara Amptmeyer.
