Kenneth J. Schweda

Kenneth Schweda, of Steger, IL, born February 1, 1955 to the late Henry Schweda and Mary Schweda, nee Daniel, passed away on Thursday, March 31st , 2022 at the age 67.  Kenneth is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years Joan Schweda, nee Immerfall, loving stepson Jason McGregor, his dear siblings Jan (James R.) Schmidt and Donald (Vinnie) Schweda, and his 9 cherished grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his stepdaughter Jeanette (Jason) Cowan and brother Bruce Schweda.

Kenneth was a proud US Navy Veteran serving from 1975-1979 as a Fire Control Technician, working with weapons fire control.  He was on the USS COOK on May 14th, 1979, the day “the COOK landed on MARS”.  Kenneth continued serving in the reserves for another six years.  He had a passion for computers which he turned into a long career of on-site service repair with Advanced Data Systems before retiring due to health issues in 2014.
