Kenneth "Lee" Turnbough

Kenneth “Lee” Turnbough, age 62, of Schererville, IN, passed away with his family by his side on Wednesday, January 10, 2024.  Loving husband of Karen A. Turnbough, nee Gronowski. Devoted father of Kailee Turnbough, Zack Turnbough, and Ashlee Turnbough.  Brother of Bruce Turnbough, Tracey Parson, and Paul Turnbough. Proud uncle of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents Kenneth D. and Gloria J. Turnbough.

Lee was a longtime baseball coach for Thornwood, Lockport, and Andrean High Schools, as well as Dyer Little league, and several other youth baseball programs.  He was an enthusiastic football announcer for the University of St. Francis Fighting Saints for many years, and also coached football for the Tri-Town Raiders.  Lee was a dedicated employee at Swanson Tool for nearly 35 years.  Lee was loved by his family, his many friends, and will be dearly missed.

Memorial visitation Sunday, January 14, 2024 from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. with a closing service, and a 7th inning stretch of sharing memories at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30/Pleasant Springs Ln.), Dyer, IN.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Lockport High School Baseball Boosters appreciated.
