Kermit R. "Kim" Thiele, age 69, of St. John, IN, passed away Monday, September 26, 2016. Beloved husband of Nancy Thiele, nee Schneider. Devoted father of Heather (Randall) Scheuneman, Jennifer (Daniel) Triezenberg, and Ryan (Aimee)Thiele. Proud grandfather of Robert, Scott, and James Scheuneman, Joshua, Elizabeth, Timothy, and David Triezenberg, and Chloe, Brett and Owen Thiele. Loving son of Margery and the late Vernon Thiele. Dear brother of Terry (Carol) Thiele and Randy (Anne) Thiele. Kind uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation Sunday, October 2, 2016 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30 & Pleasant Springs Ln.) Dyer, IN. Funeral service Monday, October 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Church (100 E. 81st Ave. Dyer, IN) with services conducted by Rev. Bob Bouwer. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery - Elwood, IL.
