He spent many years coaching baseball for Roselawn Little League. He was a longtime football coach at North Newton Jr. High School.

He strived to always make others laugh. He loved dogs and for decades always had at least one. He loved listening to music, playing music, singing music, all things music. He had lifelong ambitions of being a rock star. He played guitar and sang for a local band, the Mosh Crew. He loved to jam wherever he could with friends and strangers. He was loved by his family and friends, and he will be dearly missed.
