Kevin R. Bultema

Kevin R. Bultema, age 43, of Cedar Lake, IN, went home to his Lord and Savior Monday, April 10, 2023. Beloved husband of Jennifer Bultema, nee Zandstra. Loving father of Ryan, Josh, Lauren, Rachel, and Lydia.  Cherished son of Allen and Doreen Bultema; son-in-law of Ken and Judy (late Art Zandstra) Ooms.  Dear brother of Wendy (Rob) Buiter, Tricia (Dave) Ipema, Keith (Kristy) Bultema, Karl (Sarah) Bultema, Kim (Mike) Deckinga, and Kurt (Laura) Bultema.  Brother-in-law of Jodi Zandstra, Lisa (late Chris) Laud, and Joel (Ashley) Zandstra.  Uncle of many nieces and nephews.  Kevin was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew him.

Kevin was passionate about his faith, his family, and his work as a carpenter.  He was always willing to help others and was a great example and encouragement to others.  Kevin’s family has been encouraged by the outpouring of love and support they have received from family and friends during this difficult time. They grieve – but not without hope.  They have peace in God’s sovereign plan and draw comfort from God’s word:

“I am the resurrection and the life.  Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die.” John 11:25-26

Visitation Friday, April 14, 2023 from 2:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30/Pleasant Springs Ln.) Dyer, IN. Funeral service Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at Lynwood United Reformed Church – 1990 Glenwood Dyer Rd., Lynwood, IL, with Rev. Nick Alons officiating.
