Laura Bijak

Laura Bijak, nee Granno, age 91 of South Chicago Heights, IL, passed away peacefully January 6, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Donald Swegen (1973) and the late Joseph Bijak (2000). Loving step-mother of Joseph Jr. (Kathy) Bijak, Thomas (Mary Ellen) Bijak, Mary Helen (Douglas) Blankenberger and Bonnie (Bob) Norush-Bijak. Cherished step-grandmother of fifteen; great-grandmother of eight. Dear sister of Alba (late Edward) Christo. Laura was preceded in death by her siblings; Teresa Granno, Alda (late Nick) Cappelletti, Joseph (late Rita) Granno and Theresa (late Tony) Capua. Dear aunt of many nieces and nephews. Laura was an avid Cubs fan and enjoyed traveling around the world to different places.     Visitation Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service 11:00 a.m. at Smits, Steger Memorial Chapel, 3045 Chicago Rd, Steger, Illinois.
