Laverne J. Van Drunen

Laverne J. Van Drunen, nee Vree, age 88, of South Holland, IL passed away on Saturday, May 12, 2018. Beloved wife of the late John A. Van Drunen. Loving mother of  six sons: Lawrence (Joan) Van Drunen, Michael (Deborah) Van Drunen, John (Nancy) Van Drunen, Daniel (Diane) Van Drunen, Steven (Mary) Van Drunen, and Ronald (Denise) Van Drunen; and three daughters: Cathy (late Gerrit) Hamstra, Sherry (Kenneth) Wieringa and Diane (Mark) Hamstra and preceded in death by one son: David Van Drunen in 1971. Devoted grandmother of 30 grandchildren and 36 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of the late Robert (late Marilyn) Vree, late Don (late Lee) Vree, and the late Roger (Laurie) Vree.  Preceded in death by her parents: Louis and Ruby Vree.

Visitation Tuesday, May 15, 2018 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home (2121 Pleasant Springs Lane Dyer, IN). Funeral service Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Christian Reformed Church 16248 South Park Ave. South Holland, IL with services conducted by Rev. Richard J. Blauw.
