Leandrew Jones

Leandrew Jones of Lansing, IL made his transition on Thursday, November 25, 2021 surrounded by his family.  He was born on October 22, 1963 in Laws Hill, MS to the late Jake Jones Jr. and Minnie Lee Jones.  He professed a hope in Christ at an early age.  He was a devoted husband and father.  He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife Ramona Jones and son Brandon Lee Jones.  He leaves (3) brothers  and (1) sister.  Noria  Lee Buford of  Aurora, IL; Ella (Vernon) Howard of Aurora, IL; Keith T. (Carol) Jones of Milwaukee, WI; and Marcus Jones of Corsicana, TX.  Sisters-in-law and brother-in-law Ricky (Elaine) Davis of Bronx, NY; Rhonda (James) Jones of Michigan City, IN; Rita (Larry) Young of Michigan City, IN.  His beloved mother-in-law Edna Davis.  His uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and a host of cousins, family and friends.  Leandrew was preceded in death by his father Jake Jones Jr. and his mother Minnie Lee Jones. He truly will be missed for his unique laughter and smile.

A visitation with family and friends will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021 from 12:00 noon until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 P.M. at Smits Funeral Home, 649 E. 162nd St. (Rt.6/159th St.) South Holland, IL 60473. The funeral service at 2:00 P.M. will be conducted by Rev. Thomas Wilson.
