Lenore J. Vander Meer

Lenore J. Vander Meer, nee Stouwie, age 73, of Crete, IL, went home to her Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 15, 2022.   Beloved wife of Rev. Dr. Albert Vander Meer, retired RCA pastor.  Loving mother of John (Lynnae) Dieck, Kathryn (Raleigh) West, and Mary (Jason) Vanden Bosch.  Step-mother of Jennifer (Ken) Weiss and Daniel Vander Meer.  Devoted grandmother of Hannah, Matthew, and John Jr. Dieck, Emma, Abby, and Julia West, Nathan, Allison, and Ryan Vanden Bosch; Step-grandmother of Amanda (Robert) Grimm and Bret Weiss.  Dear sister of Janice (Randy) Bode, Edward (Mary) Stouwie, Joanne (Gys) Van Baren, and Sharon Derks.  Preceded in death by her parents Edward and Jennie Stouwie.  L enore was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Visitation Wednesday, December 21, 2022 from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane, Dyer, IN.  Funeral service Thursday, December 22, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Church – Beecher, 201 E. Church Rd., Beecher, IL 60401, with services conducted by Rev. Dr. Brian Dennert.  Interment Zion United Church of Christ Cemetery – Dyer, IN.
