Leona M. Boyd, nee McKnight, age 92, of South Holland, IL, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2017. Beloved wife of the late Thomas G. Boyd. Devoted mother of Mark (Barbara) Boyd, Jean Marie Boyd-Gaytan, Catherine (Robert Tanguileg) Boyd, John (Rebecca) Boyd, Robert Boyd, Colette Marie (Paul) Capriglione, the late Thomas, James, and Mary Ann Boyd. Proud grandmother of 13; great-grandmother of 9. Dear sister of the late Rosemary (John) Amberg. Preceded in death by her parents James and Mary McKnight. Visitation Monday, August 14, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. directly at St. Jude the Apostle Church (880 E. 154th St. South Holland, IL 60473). Inurnment St. Mary Cemetery – Evergreen Park, IL, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Charities.
