Leslie A. Cissell, age 57, late of Chicago, IL, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 12, 2016. Beloved daughter of Florence Styber and Charles Cissell. Loving sister of Gayle (Randy) Austgen. Dearest aunt of Jill (Jonathan) Joseph and Daniel Trzeciak; great-aunt of Aidin, Roxanne, and Rider Joseph. Half-sister of Michelle (Joseph) Navarro, and Maureen Mohan and their children: Melissa and Jacob Navarro, Michael, Brian Jr., Brianna, and McKenna Mohan. Celebration visitation Sunday, April 17, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the celebration service at 5:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30 & Pleasant Springs Ln.) Dyer, IN 46311 with Deacon Timothy Springer officiating. Private interment Oakland Memory Lanes Cemetery - Dolton, IL. Leslie was a resident at Misericordia Home for 31 years. She performed with the Misericordia Heartbreakers and participated in the Special Olympics. Her hobbies included latch hook, painting, and coloring. She enjoyed watching movies, dancing, singing and listening to music. She was a loving soul who brought joy to those around her. She will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at Misericordia for their loving care extended to Leslie during her life.
