Letizia Ciaparrone, nee Battipaglia, age 89, of Crown Point, IN, formerly of Steger, IL. Born February 8, 1937 in Faiano, Italy and passed away peacefully Thursday, August 13, 2026. Loving and devoted wife of 68 years of Candido Ciaparrone. Loving mother of Mario Ciaparrone and Anna (Phil) Coniglio. Proud grandmother of Candido (Aksana) Ciaparrone, Sabrina (Michael) Schroeter, Daniella (Derek) VanDiepenhuisen, Marco (Kaity) Coniglio, and Julianna Smith; great-grandmother of Sophie Schroeter, Ava Schroeter, Callie, Dominic, Piper, and Esme Coniglio, Audrianna VanDiepenhuisen, Cameron VanDiepenhuisen, Alexandria, Elijah, and Hudson Ciaparrone. Dearest sister of Antonio (Anna) Battipaglia, Antonietta and Raffaella Battipaglia, Mafalda Battipaglia, Maria Ciaparrone, and Alberto Ciaparrone.

Kind aunt of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Sabato Anna Battipaglia. Letizia cherished her time with her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and loved cooking. She was loved by her family and friends and will be dearly missed.

Visitation Tuesday, August 18, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. directly at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church 500 Northgate Dr. Dyer, IN, with Rev. Leo Gajardo officiating. Entombment Assumption Cemetery – Glenwood, IL.
