Lillian R. Kowalczyk, nee Prokop, age 87, of Lowell, IN, formerly of Calumet City, IL, passed away peacefully Tuesday, May 22, 2018. Beloved wife of the late Edward Kowalczyk. Loving mother of the late Mark (Leslie) Kowalczyk, Linda (late Paul) Hummel, Bonnie Johnson, Paul Kowalczyk, and the late Mary Cicora. Proud grandmother of 14; great-grandmother of 18. Dearest sister of the late Irene (late John) Novak, Edward (late Adeline) Prokop, and Mary Grabarczyk. Kind aunt of many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Louis and Sophie Prokop. Graveside service Saturday, May 26, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Cemetery – Calumet City, IL. Arrangements entrusted to Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane Dyer, IN.
