Lillie Mae Akers

Lillie Mae Akers, 84, of Momence, passed away Friday (Sept. 26, 2014) at Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee.She was born Dec. 11, 1929, in Savannah, Tenn., the daughter of Oscar Luther and Mary Hollingworth Ferrell. Her first husband, Harold Robbins, passed away in 1995. Her second husband, John Akers, passed away in 2007.Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, John (Kay) Robbins, and Michael (Michele) Akers; daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda (Ralph) Gonzalez; sister, Lucille Hunt; many grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and special nieces, Bonnie Walker, Betty (Rev. Bill) Perry and Margaret Lawson.Preceding her in death were one brother; and four sisters. Visitation will be Sunday from 1 p.m. until the 3 p.m. funeral services at Momence Funeral Chapel, 203 N.
