Lisa Marie Roesner

Lisa Marie Roesner, age 54, of Steger, Illinois, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, cats, and her favorite movie playing on Sunday, October 12, 2025. Beloved wife of 33 years of Randall John Roesner. Loving daughter of Pamela (late Robert) Vasquez. Dear sister of Robert Vasquez. Lisa will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Lisa’s 30+ year career in construction estimating was something to behold as she trail-blazed her own path as a Hispanic woman. Lisa’s successful career was only halted due to her being diagnosed with ALK+ non small cell lung cancer in July of 2021. Lisa had fought her ALK+ cancer battle for 4 1/2 years with such grace and might, it was truly inspiring.

She was a true warrior and was loved by everyone who knew her. Her kindness, her smile, and willingness to help others were unmatched and the family will continue her wish to help other ALK+ patients and their families through the charity she founded with her brother, Lisa’s Rainbow.

A celebration of life will be held at the Steger VFW on November 8th from 5-9. Arrangements entrusted to Smits – Steger Memorial Chapel, 3045 Chicago Rd., Steger, Illinois 60475.
