Lois J King

Lois King, age 88, of Crete, IL, passed away peacefully December 28, 2014. Loving mother of Sherri (Mike) Hedrick, Terri (Dan) Tobin, the late John Gilmer and the late Gary (late Bernice) King. Cherished grandmother of Theresa, Vesta, John, Stephanie, Jenna, Stacy, and Gregory. Great grandmother of many. Dear sister of Ray (Ruth) Hedrick. Lois was preceded in death by her former husband Skeets King and dear companion Curtis Akin. Visitation Saturday, January 3, 2015 from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the funeral service 3:00 P.M. at the Smits, Steger Memorial Chapel 3045 Chicago Rd. Steger, IL 60475. Interment private. Lois was retired from School District 170 after 34 years as a bookkeeper. She was a member of the Crete United Methodist Church, The USBC and the Illinois and Chicago Bowlers Hall of Fame. Memorials to the South Suburban Humane Society Appreciated.
