Lois Jean Stob, nee Kortenhoeven, age 81, of Schererville, IN, went home to her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. Beloved wife of John Stob. Loving mother of Lisa (Tom) Bulten, Julie (Nate) Bouma, and Jennifer (Rick) Osman. Cherished grandmother of Jessica (Matt) Christensen, Mitchel Bouma, Meghan (Felix) Caringella , Peter (Emily) Bulten, Josh (Rachel) Bulten, Bethany Osman, David Bulten, and Jonny Bouma; Proud great-grandma of Noah, Lucas, Samuel, and her first great-granddaughter Lylah arriving in April. Dear sister of Mary Brummel, Bob (Sandy) Kortenhoeven, Deb Kortenhoeven, and sister-in-law of Lois MacCambridge. Preceded in death by her sisters Elaine, Joanne, and Evelyn and by her parents Peter and Coba Kortenhoeven.
Lois loved her family fiercely and was the glue that held it together. When she was not pouring into their lives, she was found doing a crossword puzzle, singing hymns, watching a Sox or Bulls game with John, or doing a jigsaw puzzle. Her legacy will live on through her adoring children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Visitation Friday, February 28, 2025 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Bethel Christian Reformed Church, 3500 Glenwood Lansing Rd, Lansing, IL. Visitation also Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. A funeral service led by Rev. Kyle Beckrich and Rev.
