Lorraine G. Schaefer, passed away on October 3, 2015, in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Born September 2, 1921 in Chicago, IL. Beloved daughter of the late Joseph and late Emma C. Schaefer nee Baade. Beloved sister of Elsie (Simon) Thayer, the late Joseph "Edward" Schaefer and the late Anna (Schaefer) Scianna. Cherished aunt to her nieces and nephews, namely, the late Patricia (William) Conroy, Andrew (late Carol) Scianna, Lorraine (John) Stephens, Michael (Debby) Scianna, Joanne (Frank) Kuzniewski, Darlene (Anthony) Frangella, Laura (Thomas) Burkhardt and Norman (Ann) Posgay, and many great and great-great nieces and nephews. Lorraine worked for 20+ years as an office worker for Spiegel & Co. catalogue merchandise. Later, she worked in insurance claims for the State of Illinois for 20+ years. She enjoyed traveling, photography, bowling and spending time with family. Visitation Wednesday, October 7, 2015 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral Service Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Smits Funeral Homes-Steger Memorial Chapel 3045 Chicago Rd. Steger, IL.
