Louis Raymond Maravilla

Louis R. Maravilla, age 78, of Queen Creek, AZ, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. Beloved husband of Edilma Maravilla. Loving father of Edilma Newman, Candi Witry, Louis Maravilla Jr., and Ricky Maravilla. Cherished grandfather of Myna Rosa Herrera, Jacob Witry, Sidney Maravilla, and Aiden Witry. Dear brother of the late Anthony Maravilla, late Theresa Osborne, Robert Maravilla and David Maravilla. Preceded in death by his parents Anthony and Isabelle Maravilla. Louis was a United States Army Veteran. He retired from Chicago Transit Authority after many years of dedicated service. Louis was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026 from 3:00 — 8:00 p.m. with a prayer service at 6:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane, Dyer, IN with Deacon Jim Renwick officiating. Graveside service Friday, August 7, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. directly at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery – Evergreen Park, IL.
