Louise G. Gouwens, nee Corrado, age 86, of South Holland, IL, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Brian G. Gouwens. Loving mother of Brian (Lori) Gouwens and Sharon (Rick) Brasel. Proud grandmother of Brad (Sara), Paige, Micah, Mei, and Jia. Great-grandmother of Sophia, Brian, Daphne, Liam, and Caleb. Dear sister of Lt. Col. Warren H. (Ann) Corrado. Preceded in death by her parents Harold Corrado and Gertrude Corrado-McNair.
Visitation Wednesday, September 27, 2023 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane, Dyer, IN. Funeral service Thursday, September 28, 2023 at 10:00 at the funeral home with services conducted by Pastor Bob Powers. Interment Homewood Memorial Gardens – Homewood, IL.
