Lowell L Cockrum

Lowell L. Cockrum "Windy", age 90 of South Chicago Heights, Illinois passed away peacefully February 17, 2015. Dear husband of the late Eva Mae Cockrum. Loving father of the late Marlea (Robert Gifford) Winn, Lemuel Cockrum, Wendy (Jeff) Stapleton, and the late Lowell (Malinda) Cockrum. Cherished grandfather of Robert (Patrisha White) Winn, Dena Cockrum, Veray Hubsch, James (Rita) Cockrum, Thomas Stapleton, and Allison Stapleton. Lowell is also survived by 7 great grandchildren, one great-great grandson and many nieces and nephews. Lowell was a WWII Army Veteran who served at the Battle of the Bulge and was a Bronze Star recipient. He was also a member of the VFW.
