Luanne E Thurmond

Luanne E. Thurmond, nee Tilton, age 80, of Steger, IL passed away October 1, 2022. Beloved wife of Ernest O. Thurmond. Loving mother of Jeffrey (Dina) Thurmond and Tracy (Thurmond) Bosco. Cherished grandmother of Taylor Matic,  Austin Konieczka, Nico Bosco, Brittany Thurmond, Lori Sago, and Cori Lopez. Dear great-grandmother of Luka, Emerson, Bianca, Maykayla, Alayna, and Lily. Luanne was Steger South Chicago Heights Library Board President for 11 years total, elected 2003-2022, and she was on the Board of the Police Pension Fund from 2014-2021. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held Saturday, October 8, 2022 from 2:00 p.m. to time of Funeral Service at 6:00 p.m. at Steger Memorial Chapel (3045 Chicago Rd. Steger, IL). In lieu of flowers memorials to the Steger-South Chicago Heights Public Library appreciated.
