Lynette R. Brown, nee Zander, age 74, of Thornton, IL, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2015. Beloved wife of Carl E. Brown Sr. Loving mother of Carl E. (Linda) Brown Jr., Melinda G. Kluge, Pamela J. (Jeff) Hemp, and the late Jeffrey A. Brown. Devoted grandmother of ten and three great-granddaughters. Dear sister of Alan Zander, the late Marshall (Carol(Roger) Stiles) Zander, Susan (Wayne) Marz, the late Damon Zander, and the late David Allen Zander. Kind aunt of Steve, Scott, and Kevin Marz. Best friend of her dog Buster. Visitation will be held Sunday, March 1, 2015 from 2:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Smits, DeYoung-Vroegh Funeral Home 649 E. 162nd St. (Rt. 6 / 159th St.) South Holland, IL. A funeral service will be held Monday, March 2, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church (508 Chicago Rd, Thornton, IL.) with Rev. Harold Wahl officiating. Interment will be held at Homewood Memorial Gardens - Homewood, IL. Memorials may be given to St. Paul Lutheran Church.
