Lynn S. Macander, nee Rockley, of Wheatfield, IN, formerly of South Holland, IL passed away, peacefully Thursday, March 3, 2016. Beloved wife of Richard J. Macander, Loving daughter of Leanne and the late Leonard Rockley. Cherished sister of David (Denise) Rockley, Joan (Frank) Elton and Ann Rockley. Dear niece of Sharon (Robert) Sipla and the late David (Daniella (Gary) Meyer) Rusin. Devoted aunt of Joe, Allison, Maggie and Danny. Daughter-in law of Richard F. Macander and Rose Marie (Ray) Klich. Kind sister-in-law of Karen (Larry) Evans, Michael (Ana) Macander, and Christine Macander. Lynn was also an aunt to Matthew (late), Mark, Nicholas, Elizabeth, Cole, Peter and Christopher. Visitation Monday, March 7, 2016 from 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30&Pleasant Springs Ln.), Dyer, IN. Prayer service Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 10:00 A.M. at Smits Funeral Home leaving for a 11:00 A.M. Funeral mass at St. John Catholic Church in Glenwood, IL with Rev. Karol Tybor officiating. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery- Calumet City, IL. Lynn was a 1979 graduate of Thornwood High School in South Holland and earned a bachelor''s degree from Calumet College of St. Joseph. She loved her canine companions of Brittany and Lily. She had a passion for gardening and baking. Lynn had a deep love for her family and friends and will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
