Maldon Coakley

Maldon "Mal" Coakley, age 68, of Momence formerly of Harvey, IL passed away peacefully April 5, 2015. Beloved husband of Roseann Coakley nee Brescia. Loving father of Jeffrey (Jody Rosenberg), Gina Marie (Jim) Boersma, Lisa Ann (Robert) Vogel, Victoria Ann Coakley, Angelika Rose Coakley, Jonathon Paul Coakley and loving foster father to many. Cherished grandfather of seventeen; great-grandfather of three. Dear brother of Dale Coakley. Mal retired after over 25 years of service with the Harvey Fire Department as an engineer. He also was United States Army Veteran. Visitation Thursday, April 9, 2015 from 3:00 P.M. until time of service 7:00 P.M. at Smits, Steger Memorial Chapel 3045 Chicago Rd. Steger, IL. Interment will take place Friday, April 10, 2015 leaving the funeral home at 11:00 a.m. for a 12:30 p.m. burial at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
