Marcia Kaye Schaaf

Marcia Kaye Schaaf , nee Alderden, age 72, of St. John, IN, formerly of Lansing, IL, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 16, 2021. Beloved wife of the late Fred Schaaf Jr.  Devoted mother of Fred (Terri) Schaaf, late Mike (Kelly) Schaaf, Sheryl (Eric) Bontrager, and Daniel (Sarah) Schaaf.  Proud grandmother of Matthew, Kyle and Timothy Schaaf, Jonathan and Emma Bontrager, and Cara and Lukas Schaaf. Dear sister of Robert (Judy) Alderden and John (Luanne) Alderden.  Aunt of several nieces and nephews.  Preceded in death by her parents Jack and Helen Alderden.

Marcia loved being a nurse for over 30 years. She enjoyed quilting and baking. Marcia and Fred spent many wonderful times camping and traveling together.  Marcia was loved by many and will be dearly missed.

Visitation Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane, Dyer, IN  with Pastor Harv Roosma officiating.
