Mardel M Salmen

Mardel M. Salmen, nee Hensley, age 94 of Steger, Illinois passed away peacefully October 20, 2015. Beloved wife of 73 years to Eugene Salmen. Loving mother of Stephen, Maureen (Gerald) Maupin, Kristine, Mitchell and the late Timothy D. Salmen. Cherished grandmother of Timothy S. Salmen. Dear sister of Roy Hensley and she was preceded in death by four brothers and three sisters. Mardel worked during WWII as a Comptometer Operator on Wall Street. She was a member and past president of the Steger VFW Post 8283, and also the St. John''s Faith United Church of Christ in Matteson, Illinois. Visitation Sunday, October 25, 2015 from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Funeral service Monday, October 26, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Smits, Steger Memorial Chapel 3045 Chicago Rd. Steger, IL 60475.
