Maria Melba Fisher

Maria Melba Fisher, nee Dy, age 82, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. Beloved wife of Wilbert E. Fisher III. Loving mother of Sammy (Isabella) Fisher and Mercy (Dave) Gonzalez. Proud grandmother of Max Fisher, Alex Fisher, Lilly Gonzalez, and Aiden Gonzalez. Loving sister of five brothers and six sisters. Kind aunt of several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Sammy and Remedios Dy. Maria was a longtime teacher at Archdiocese of Chicago Catholic Schools. Countless lives were affected by her teaching and charity work. She was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
