Maria L. Garcia, nee Cano, age 92, of Steger, IL passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Friday, March 10, 2023. Beloved wife of the late Antonio Garcia. Loving mother of Stella Servine, Antonio Jr. (Mary) Garcia, David Garcia, late Robert (Jennie) Garcia, Darlene (Gavino) Verduzco, and Donald (Shar) Garcia. Cherished grandmother of 19 Grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 8 great-great grandchildren. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Maria was preceded in death by her two sisters and two brothers. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

Visitation to be held Tuesday, March 14, 2023, from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Smits – Steger Memorial Chapel, 3045 Chicago Rd. Steger, IL. Prayer Service to be held Wednesday, March 15, 2023, 9:30 a.m. at Steger Memorial Chapel. Procession to follow to St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1501 Chicago Rd, Chicago Heights, IL. for 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass. Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery – Glenwood, IL.
