Marie A. Koster, nee Van Der Giessen, age 89, of South Holland, IL passed away Thursday, October 20, 2011. Beloved wife of the late Clarence Koster; loving mother of James (Mary) Koster and Dennis (Jean) Koster; devoted grandmother of Grant (Dana) Koster, Kyla (Neil) Mahoney, Christine (Craig) Wories, Matthew (Heidi) Koster, and Lindsey (Dan) Romito and great-grandmother of Landon, Hudson, Laila, Mia, Avery, Hadley, and Dominic; dear sister of Gertrude Rietveld, Joanne Scheeringa, and the late Henry Van Der Giessen. Visitation Saturday, October 29, 2011 from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the funeral service at 11:30 A.M. at the First Reformed Church 15924 South Park Ave., South Holland, IL with services conducted by Rev. Mel DeVries. Private interment at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Lansing, IL. Memorial contributions may be given to First Reformed Church of South Holland. Mrs. Koster was a member of First Reformed Church of South Holland, and a volunteer for 35 years at the Holland Home Gift and Coffee Shop and Rest Haven South.
