Mark H. Anker

Mark H. Anker, age 78, of South Holland, IL, went home to his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 26, 2024. Dear brother of Wanda (James) Veld. Proud uncle of Kurt (late Sandy) Veld, Jack (Susan) Veld, Amy (Jeff) Van Drunen.  Great-uncle of Carly Veld, Jack Veld, Annie (Mitch) Damstra, David (Candice) Van Drunen, Paige (Patrick) Avila, and Hilary (Jay) Timmer.  Great-great uncle of Parker Van Drunen. Preceded in death by his parents Henry and Winnette (nee DeYoung) Anker.  Mark graduated from Drake University and spent a few years as a teacher.  He was a huge sports fan and had owned a Sports Memorabilia shop in South Holland.  He was loved and will be dearly missed.

Visitation Wednesday, April 3, 2024 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane, Dyer, IN.
