Mark E. Kowalczyk

Mark E. Kowalczyk, age 67, of Lowell, IN formerly of Lansing, IL, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2016. Beloved and devoted husband for 46 years of Leslie Kowalczyk, nee Yochem. Loving father of Jennifer (Mark) Lewandowski, Kimberly Norman, and Megan (Michael) Coleman. Proud grandfather of Kate, Sara, Dana, Abby, Rebecca, Jake “Buddy”, Michael & Bella. Cherished son of Lillian and the late Edward Kowalczyk. Fond brother of Linda (late Paul) Hummel, Bonnie Johnson, Paul Kowalczyk, and Mary (Teddy) Ciciora. Many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends. Mark was a letter carrier for the Calumet City Post Office, retiring after 38 years of service. He belonged to the Sons of the American Legion and was involved in Lansing Girls Softball for several years coaching all 3 of his daughters. Mark enjoyed fishing, hunting, bowling, and attending NHRA drag races. Mark was his grandkids biggest fan watching countless hours of their sporting events and activities. He will be missed by all who knew him. Visitation Thursday, October 20, 2016 from 3:00 - 8:00 P.M.
