Mark E Kozy

Mark E Kozy, age 67, of Steger, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 19, 2024. Beloved husband of Karen Kozy nee Dahlman.  Loving father of Kristen (Bryan) Jinks and Sharon (Kevin) Lasowski. Dear brother of the late Sharon Marie, and dear cousin of Mickey (John) Ivan . Mark is also survived by his loving dog Pippen, granddog Boomer, and grandcat Sassy. He was preceded in death by his parents Edward Korzeniewski and Lorraine Kozy.
Mark served as a Steger Village Trustee from May 2003 – 2015 and again from 2018 - 2022. He was a member of the Steger Kiwanis Club, and former VP of the Kankakee Bowling Association. Mark was an avid bowler and bowled four perfect games. He also was bowling coach for his daughters who each managed to bowl a perfect game. He was a huge Chicago Cubs fan and was thrilled to see them win the World Series in 2016.  Mark will be missed greatly by all who knew him.

Visitation Tuesday, April 23, 2024 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m.  at Smits – Steger Memorial Chapel 3045 Chicago Rd Steger, IL 60475. Funeral Wednesday, April 24, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at Steger Memorial Chapel.
