Marsha Sue Huizenga, nee Groot, age 67, of Highland, IN, was welcomed home by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, May 24, 2020. Beloved wife of Henry J. Huizenga. Loving mother of Kevin Huizenga and Lisa (Doug) Vander Molen.  Proud nana of Ella and Jay Vander Molen.  Dear sister of Nancy (late John) Boender, Terry (Faythe) Groot, Pamela (George) Siemer, and the late Henry Groot. Preceded in death by her parents Peter and Alyce Groot. Marsha was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

Public visitation will be held Friday, May 29, 2020 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30 & Pleasant Springs Lane), Dyer, IN. Social distancing guidelines and CDC recommendations will continue to be followed. A private family funeral service will be held Saturday, May 30, 2020 with services conducted by Rev. Ben Kappers. The service will be live streamed at 11:00 a.m. from Smits Funeral Home website (go to the Facebook link at www.SMITSFH.com) . Private interment Oak Ridge Cemetery – Lansing, IL.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Bethshan Association or Timothy Christian Schools .  For further information, please contact 219-322-7300.
