Marvin H. Peterson, age 96, of Crete, IL, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2016. Loving father of Daniel (Kathleen), Clifford (Laura), and Jeffrey (Lauren) Peterson. Proud grandfather of eight; great grandfather of 13. Husband of Nellie Mae Peterson, nee Tannis, and preceded in death by his first wife Bernice Peterson, nee Anderson. Cousin of Wayne Moline. Preceded in death by his parents Otto and Iris Peterson. Visitation Thursday, September 1, 2016 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Smits Funeral Home, 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane, Dyer, IN. Interment Chapel Hill Gardens South – Worth, IL. Mr. Peterson was a World War II Army Veteran. Memorial contributions may be given to Cedar Lake Ministries.
