Mary Jo “Jody” Cockrum, nee Reynolds, passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Jack L. Cockrum. Loving mother of Jamie Cockrum, Cheri (David) Knuth, Lisa (Steve) Culbreth and Jason (Jacki) Cockrum. Cherished grandmother of Tara (Jeremy) Davis, Jennifer Knuth, Cara Cockrum, Brandon Knuth, Emily (Tony) Shea, Jessica Cockrum, Johnathan Cockrum, Jack Cockrum, Julia Cockrum, Joseph Cockrum, Miranda Culbreth and Seth Culbreth; great-grandmother of Sophia, Mallory, Jaxson and Everly. Fond aunt of many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Preceded in death by her siblings Tony (late Dolly) Reynolds, Joyce (late Johnny) Montella, Shirley (late Richard) Keene and Linda (late Michael) Barnes and her parents Otto and Katherine Reynolds. Jody will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Visitation to be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 2:00 pm – 7:00 pm at Smits-Steger Memorial Chapel, 3045 Chicago Rd., Steger, IL 60475. Funeral Service on Tuesday December 30, 2025, at 10:00 am also at Smits-Steger Memorial Chapel. Interment to follow at Adams Cemetery in Crete, IL.
