Mary Ann Matern

Mary Ann Matern, nee Henderson, age 79, of Beecher, IL, passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 5, 2021.  Loving wife of John Matern.  Devoted mother of John (Gretchen) Minyard, Jim (Debbie) Minyard, Glenn (Tara) Minyard; step-mother of Patricia (Mark) Bohman, Barbara Matern, Robin (Russell) Newton, John Matern, and Ed (Holly) Matern.  Proud grandmother of Jake, Luke, and Abby Minyard, Jake Johnson, Natalie Minyard, and Avery Minyard.  Dearest sister of Bill Henderson, and Jim (Carol) Henderson.  Kind aunt of Bill Henderson, Debbie Kehle, Teresa MacKenzie, and Mary Matyn. Preceded in death by her parents Enoch and Lorretta Henderson.

Visitation Sunday, January 10, 2021 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m.  Prayer service Monday, January 11, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Smits Funeral Home 2121 Pleasant Springs Lane (Rt.30 & Pleasant Springs Ln.) Dyer, IN.  Interment St. Mary Catholic Cemetery – Evergreen Park, IL.
